Home My WebLink AboutResolution - 5237 - Appointment - Bobby Rodgers - Board Of Directors, CRMWA - 08_08_1996RESOLUTION N0523 August 8, 1996 RESOLUTION Item #27 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, heretofore appointed LeRoy Montoya to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the CANADIAN RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER AUTHORITY for the term ending July 31, 1996, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 243 of the laws passed by the Regular Session of the Texas Legislature in 1953; and WHEREAS, such office has now become vacant by reason of the expiration of the term of the aforesaid appointee; and WHEREAS, in the performance of its duty under Texas law, this City Council desires to appoint a person qualified to fill the vacancy occasioned by the expiration of such term; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT Bobby Rodgers, a qualified voter and property owning taxpayer of the City of Lubbock, who is not a member of the governing body or an employee of said City, be and is hereby appointed to the Board of Directors of the CANADIAN RIVER MUNICIPAL WATER AUTHORITY for the term ending July 31, 1998. SECTION 2.
