RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROV34ENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES
A.S LISTED BEM AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF

SESSMaTS LEVIED.
the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with West Texas Constructio ,
corporated (G.W.O. 1023)' for the making and construction of street improvement
n portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among
others the following:
47th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue V to its
'ntersection with the West Property Line of Avenue W, known and designated as
j nit Number 1588.
58th Street from its intersection with the West Paving Line of Avenue Q South
Drive to its intersection with the East Gutter Line of Avenue P, known and
designated as Unit Number 1597.
Elgin Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 42nd Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 44th Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 1627.
60th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue T to
its intersection with the West Gutter Line of Temple Avenue, known and designate
as Unit Number 1647.
47th Street from its intersection with the East Gutter Line of College Avenue
to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue X, known and designate
as New Subdivision Unit Number 61.
Avenue X from its intersection with the South Property Line of •46th Street to
its intersection with the North Property Line of-47th Street' known.`and designat d
as New Subdivision Unit Number 62.
Akron Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 46th Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 47th Street, known and
designated as New Subdivision Unit Number 84.

its intersection with the North Property Line of 49th Street, known and desig-
nated as New Subdivision Unit Number 126.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the paving improvements constructed by West Texas
Construction, Inc, under their contract dated -January 27, 195%
designated G. W. a. 1a23, and find the Improvements on streets
and/or avenues, known and designated as Units 1588, 1597, 1627!
1647, N-S 61, N-S 62, 16-S 84, N-S 126,- N-3 127, N-S 129, N-S 130,
and N-S 131, respectively, as listed on the final estimate and
assessment sheets to have been completed in accordance with the
plans and specifications and recommend that you accept the im-
provements on said streets and/or avenues, paying the contractor
the amount shown on the attached consolidated final estimate
sheet as due him by the City of Lubbock, and issue assignable
certificates against property owners for the respective amounta
shown on the attached final assessment sheets as being due
against theca and their respective properties.

;AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned
streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in
accordance with terms of said contract (GWO 1023).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets.and
avenues be, and the same are hereby accepted.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of streets and avenues
listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and
in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to
said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasing money held in
escrow to be paid the contractor for improvements where abutting property was
not assessed. The City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to direct the
payment of the City►s portion of cost of said improvements.

This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

These amounts are the balance of 03076.97 put in the City's Special Fund by Lone
Star Trading Post for Dollie Mac Add., Installment #1. The City's forces constructed
the curb and gutter and did the subgrade work on the West side of Avenue X and on
the North side of 47th Street under G.W.O. 1030. The cost of this City construction
was $1,534.88 which was charged to G.W.O. 1030 (City's Special Fund) .
