RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Commission on June 9, 1955, by its resolution, granted
r; r ,c,f and authorized the issuance ,of the license to the Lubbock Home Builders
r>>h Association to temporarily close 47th Street between Memphis and Nash-
_i veTi! o n, ville Avenues for the purposes therein stated; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission now finds that the license to be granted
should be broadened to include the temporary closing of 47th Street East
of Nashville Avenue as hereinafter provided; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIUMI.SSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.
THAT the Mayor is a.uthorizecl ind directed to execute a license to the
Lubbock Home Builders Association to use that part of 47th Street and Mem-
phis Avenue described as follows:
To temporarily use and close 47th Street East of Nash-
ville Avenue to and including the intersection of.47th
Street with Memphis Avenue, and 47th Street 230 feet
I� East of the centerline intersection, and Memphis Ave-
nue 80 feet North of the centerline of said intersection,
j also Memphis Avenue 80 feet South of the centerline of
said intersections

such use and temporary closing being permitted for a period of three weeks,
11 beginning August 23 and ending September 15, inclusive.
The license shall be conditioned upon the said association agreeing to
reimburse the G'ity of Lubbock at the end of the use period for :any and all
damages to the Streets which occur during the time the street is temporarily
closed, or resulting from use connected with such occupancy, and further
conditioned that said association shall provide adequate public liability in-
surance to the City protecting it from any and all damages resulting to any
person or persons during the dates the license is issued for. And further
conditioned that upon the expiration of the term of said license that the licensee
shall promptly remove anysnd all obstructions from said streets.
Passed by the unanimous vote of the Commission this 23rd day of
June, 7 1955
