THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized j and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a Quit Claim Deed to The Lubbock Independent School District, conveying its interest in the land described as follows: II BEGINNING at a point 2,878.97 feet,, and 30 feet East of the Northwest Corner of they East 1/2 (one-half) of j Section 7, Block E-2., Lubbock County, Texas; I� THENCE South 860 31' 54" East a distance of 826.5 feet along the South side of Lots 385 to 397 inclusive of I� II the Caprock Addition as recorded in Volume 13, Page 500, of the Lubbock County Deed Records; j THENCE North 860 311 54n West a distance of 826.5 feet to a point; THENCE North 20.04 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Secretary-Treasurer shall attest such Quit Clan Deed, affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto. Tripp City Commission City Hall Lubbock, Texas i Attention: Mr. Bill Holmes City Engineer Dear Sir: As attorneys for Lubbock Independent School District, we wash to advise that we have this day closed the sale of the '10.07 acres of land out of the East Half of Section 7, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, from W. R. Slaton and L. A. Purtell to Lubbock Independent School District. As per our conversation, we 'had agreed to advise you when this sale had been completed and record title was vested in the School District. We again renew our request that the City execute a quit claim deed conveying the alley-way lying immediately south of Lots 385-.397,Caprock Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, to the School District. We will appreciate your cooperation in this matter, and if you will notify us we will pack up the quit claim deed after its proper execution.
