LEILA`ASHFORD A QUIT CLAIM DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK CONVEYING ITS INTEREST IN THAT PART AND PORTION OF THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY, BEING A SEVEN AND ONE-HALF (7 1/2) FOOT STRIP OF .LAND OUT OF THE EAST 140 FEET OF LOT ONE, BLOCK THREE, ALTA VISTA ACRES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK II COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING ,DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE I BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, that land formerly a part and portion of the North-South alley being a seve=:arid one-half 7 1/2) foot strip of land out of the East 140 feet of Lot One (1), Black Three (3), Alta. Vista Acres Addition to the City of Lubbock, as more particularly described by metes and bounds hereinafter is not being used and will not in the future be used or needed for alley purposes or for any other public purpose; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock finds that it would be in,the public interest to quit claim its interest in such land to Mrs. Leila. Ashford; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a quit claim deed to Mrs. Leila Ashford convey- ing its interest in the land described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a. point 140 feet West of the Northeast corner of said 140 foot tract; THENCE South with fence row marking the West boundary line of said 140 foot tract a distance of 302 1/2 feet for the Southwest corner; THENCE East 7 1/2 feeti I THENCE North 302 1/2 feet to the North line.of said 140 foot j tract-, THENCE West 7 1/2 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.. SECTION Z. That the CitySecretary-Treasurer shall attest such quit claim deed, affixing the seal of the City of Lubbock thereto.
