WHEREAS the part and portion of Block 61 of the Norwood Subdivision of the II
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, which is more particularly hereinafter
described by metes and boundsi is not being used and will not in the future be �i
used or needed for highway and street purposes or the street to which it
is -abutting, or for any other public purposes; and,
�I WHEREAS, the CITIES SERVICE OIL COMPANY is the owner of Lots It 2 and 3,
Block 7, of Acuff Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
l� except that strip one hundred feet (1001) wide on the East side thereof extended
in a Northwesterly direction across said lots and the same is adjacent to and
abutting on 4th Street which is to be improved and widened for,highway purposes
and a portion of which said lands will be obstructed by an Underpass;and-
WHEREAS, the CITIES SERVICE OIL COMPANY desires to exchange its land with

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock finds that it will I
be in the public interest to exchange its property for the property of the
CITIES SERVICE OIL COMPANY and convey by warranty deed the interest of the

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
on behalf of the City of Lubbock to CITIES SERVICE OIL COMPANY, a Delaware
Corporation, a warranty deed conveying the land described by metes and bounds as

follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest Corner of Block 61 Norwood Subdivision,
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East along the North line of Block 61, a distance of 97.5
feet to the Northeast corner cf Lot 30 of said Block 61;
THENCE South along the East line of Lots 30 and 29 a distance
of 57.51 feet;
THENCE South S degrees 21 minutes West a distance of 65.22 feet
�I parallel to and 100 feet distance from center line of Avenue Q,
Northeast, as established on the ground, to a point in Lot 27 of
said Block 61, said point being 9.47' feet West and 2.04 feet South
of the Northeast Corner of said Lot 27;
THENCE South 16 degrees 52 minutes 50 seconds West a distance of 303.15

liens either express or implied by reason of this exchanne are herebt
expressly waived by it.
