RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas
authorizes City Councils to make changes in budgets for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance, the City Manager is
authorized to make transfers between funds, accounts, departments or programs for City
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the budget for municipal
purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Manager of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and
directed to make changes to the 1995-96 City of Lubbock Budget for municipal purposes as
follows:
$2,905,000 shall be transferred from the Undesignated/Unreserved Fund Balance in the
General Fund into the following funds:
$40,000 into the Streets Capital Projects Fund Balance for the City's share of
development of bike routes;
$540,000 into General Capital Projects Fund Balance for Technology Upgrades in the
areas of Internet/911, Public Information, computerized Agenda, Legal Department,
Planning GIS, Business Development and Budget; as well as Public Safety and
Emergency Management Improvements for police equipment and mobile command post;
$25,000 into the Internal Services Capital Projects Fund Balance to fund a Back -Up
Dispatch as a Public Safety Improvement;
$390,000 into the General Permanent Capital Maintenance Fund Balance to fund the
asbestos Containing Material (ACM) abatement capital project as well as Legal
Department renovations;
$250,000 into the Internal Services Permanent Capital Maintenance Fund Balance to fund
the Underground Storage Tank Testing Remediation capital project;
$1,360,000 into the Economic Development Fund Balance;
$300,000 into the Parks Capital Projects Fund Balance to fund Fine Arts Center facility
and development of an amphitheater.
SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget
pursuant to this Resolution shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock
County as required by law.
