SHAFFER TO THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION. to City Engi-. WHEREAS, the City Engineering Department has recommended that certain R.Q rfJ, property owned by the City of Lubbock be exchanged to C. S. Shaffer for cer- Office tain other property which is needed for the Northeast Avenue Q. ,Right-of Way; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COHaSSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Mayor BE, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute a quit claim deed to C. S. Shaffer on the following described property, to-wits Being the North twenty (20) feet of that part of Auburn Street between the West right-of-way of Avenue Q HE and the East right- of-way line of the Railroad, more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 68.6 feet West of the'Southeast corner of Block 61,., Roberts and &Whorter Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West along the South line of Block 64 a distance of 151.63 feet to a point in the East right-of-way line of the Railroad; THENCE South along the said East right-of-way line of the Railroad a distance of twenty (20) feet to a point; THENCE East a distance of 11+8.70 feet to a point in the West right- of-way line of Ave nue Q NE; THENCE North 80 21t East a distance of 20.21 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. The execution of the quit claim deed is the same consideration as set forth in the proposal by C. S. Shaffer and accepted by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock. on the '23rd day of September, 1954. SECTION 2. The City Secretary shall attest the quit claim deed.
