Hill - Lot 14, Block 6 South Side Addition - 09_09_1954 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO R. W. HILL, A QUIT CLAIM DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO THE EASE- MENT DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS FMOLUTION. WHEREAS., that part and portion of the easement described in the body of this resolution is not being used and uIll not in the future be needed for any public purpose; and, WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock finds it will be to the public interest to quit claim its interest to R. W. Hill who has provided other easements; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM11ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTIOA �l. That the Mayor is hereby authorized-and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Lubbock to 'R. W. Eill a`quit claim deed to the easement which was reserved in the Lquit claim deed recorded in Volume 378, page 544, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the South line of 22nd Street, Which point is 30 feet Wast-of the original Northwest corner of Lot 14, Block 6 of the South Side Addition of the City of Lubbock; Thence East 10 feet to a point; Thence South 80 feet to a point; Thence West 10 feet to a point; Thence North 80 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the City Secretary 'shall attest such quit claim deed and affix the seal of the City of-Liibbook,thereto, and in for the exe- cution and delivering to the sai4 ,grantee of'the property, the grantee shall pay to the City of Lubbock the sum of ONE AND NO/l00 ($1.00) DMJAR. W. HILL of the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do by these presents, BARGAIN, SELL, .RELEASE AND FOREVER QUIT CLAIM unto the said R. W. Hill, his heirs, and assigns, all its right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Lubbock and State of Texas, described as follows, to-wit: Being an Easement reserved in the Quit Claim Deed recorded in Volume 378, page 544, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, ,and being over and under the property described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the South line of 22nd Street, which point is 30 feet -West of the original Northwest corner of Lot 14, Block 6,of the South Side Addition; Thence East 10 feet; Thence South 80 feet; Thence West 10 feet; Thence North 80 feet to the place of beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said premises, together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said R, lie Hill his heirs and assigns, forever, so that neither the saidTHE CITY OF LUBBOCK, nor its assigns, nor any person or persons claiming under it shall, at any time hereafter, have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
