5-24-54 TO IM. SENTELLE LYONS, A WIDOW, A QUITCLAIM DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK

I W H E R E A S. that part and portion of the public alley'.: described in
!.'2 the body of this Resolution is not now being used for and will not in the future
be needed for any public purposes; and,
W H E R E A S, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock finds that it
would be in the public interest to quitclaim all its interest to MS. SENTELLS LYONS
a widow, who' has provided other rights of way which meet the public needs that the
property hereinafter described was intended,for, and it would be in the City's
interest to so quitclaim said tract of land; N 0 W, T H E R E F O R E,
'BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COH4ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKs
SECTION 1. That the 11ayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a Quitclaim Deed to the following described tract
of land, to-wit:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 11, Block 75, Lyons Addition, n
&ddition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
Thence north parallel with the east line of Lots 11, 10, 9, 8, 72 6, 5,
4, 3 and 2. Block 75 of said Lyons Addition,,- to a point in the west ROW
line of Railroad Avenue;
Thence southeasterly parallel with the west ROW line of said Railroad
Avenue to a point 12.3 feet perpendicular to the east line of said Lots
2 through 11, Block 75, said Lyons Addition;
Thence south to a point in the north ROW line of East 31st Street;
Thence west 12.3 feet to the Point of Beginning.
The City Secretary shall.attest said Quitclaim Deed and affix the seal of the City o
Lubbock thereto, and, in consideration for the execution and delivery to the said
1,S. SENTELLE LYONS, a widow, of said property, the said MRS. SENTELLE LYONS, a wid ,
shall pay to the City of Lubbock therefor the sum of One and no/100 (41.00) Dollars.
On.motion of Commissioner Thomas , seconded by Commissioner
- -Carpenter , the foregoing Resolution was passed on the 13 day of May
1954, by the following vote of the City Commission:
