R E S O L UT 1 O N
WHEREAS, the City of 'Lubbock is now engaged in securing right-of-
way for the proposed West Lubbock County Water Supply Line to be constructed
along the North side of the Panhandle and.Santa Fe Railroad between Lubbock
and Shallowater in accordance with plans heretofore adopted; and,

WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it necessary to construct
a booster pumping station to pump water from such line into and through an
7� existing low-pressure.wat±er,supplyjirie in„_y,a* r,,Avenut to,the City's
Water Reservoir No. 7.located near the Slide Road and the Brownfield Highway;d
WHEREAS, ,the City Commission finds_that the booster station should
be constructed on a site located on the East side of Quaker Avenue extended
rp North from said Railroad:and on the North side of the easement to be acquired
Yam! a �� for said water line, the site being more particularly described,below; NOW.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COMMISSION OF THE.CITY OF LUBBOCK:
T HAT the hereinafter described site be acquired from the owner or
owners thereof for the purpose of constructing a booster station thereon,
such site being described as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the North right-of-way
line of Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway Company (Clovis Branch)
with the West line of Section Thirteen (13), Block A. Lubbock
County, Texas;
THENCE North along the West line of Section 13, Block A, a dis-
tance of 29. 81 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of Z17 feet to a point, said point being
the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE South a distance of 170..8 feet to a point in the North
right-of-way line of said Railway Company;
THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the North right-of-
way line of said Railway Company a distance of 258. 77 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING,
Containing.21767 square feet or 0. 5 acres of land for Booster
Station Site.
On motion of;Commissioner -baker seconded by Commis-
sioner Carpenter , this Resolution was passed by the Commission
on this 22nd day of April 1954, by the following vote:
