AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN THE
' BODY OF THIS RESOLUTION FROM SAM H. ALLRED FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY
PURPOSES.
17-0 �?D.u�, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
T HA T the Proposal of SAM H. ALLRED to convey the following des-
cribed property to the City of Lubbock by,General Warranty Deed, for a cash
c ,. consideration of Five Thousand Five Hundred Fourteen and .66/100 ($5, 514.66)
Dollars, BE and the same is hereby accepted, such property being described
as follows, to-wit:
Being a tract of land out of Lots Twenty-Seven (27), Twenty-Eight
(28), Twenty Nine (29) and Thirty (30), Easley Subdivision of
Block Thirty-One (31), Roberts and McWhorter Addition to the City
of Lubbock, Lubbock County,- Texas, more particularly described
by metes and. 'bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 31. 13 feet East of the Northwest corner of
said Lot Thirty (30);
THENCE East along the North line of said Lot Thirty (30) a distance
of 48.78 feet to a point, said point being the Northwest corner of a
tract of land conveyed to the City of'Lubbock on November 16, 1946,
and recorded in Volume 329, page 143 of the Deed Records of Lubbock
County, Texas;
THENCE in a Southwesterly direction with a line parallel to and forty-
five (45) feet distant from the centerline of Avenge "Q" Northeast, for
a distance of 141.4. feet to a point, said point being on a line twenty
(20) feet South of the North line of said Lot Twenty-Seven (27);
THENCE West along the centerline of Lot Twenty-Seven (27) a distance
of 30.Z3 feet to a point, said point being 29. 09 feet East and 20. 0 feet
South of the Northwest corner of said Lot 27;
THENCE Northerly across Lots Twenty-Seven (27) and Twenty-Eight
(28) a distance of 50. 55 feet to a point, said point being 31.42 feet
East and 9.47 feet ,South of the Northwest corner of said Lot Twenty-
Eight (28), and being:eighty (80) feet from and at right angles to a
highway centerline as established by the Texas State Highway Department;
THENCE Northerly across Lots Twenty-Eight (28), Twenty-Nine (29)
and Thirty (30) a distance of 89.47 feet to'the POINT OF BEGINNING,
Containing 5, 396 square feet of land, more or less.
T HA T upon examination of abstract of title to be furnished by the said
Sam'H. Allred and approval of such title by the City Attorney, the cash con-
sideration above stated shall be paid over to the said Sam H. Allred out of
Right-of-Way Bond Funds at the time of delivery of deed tLnd possession.
On motion of Commissioner Morris seconded by Commis-
sioner Thomas this Resolution was passed on this the2 th
day of March 1954, by the following vote
Commissioners voting "YEA": Morris, Carpenter, Davis, Thomas and
Mayo Tripp
Commissioners voting "NAY": None
