RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON VORTIONS OF STREETS, ,AND/OR AV&UFS
AS LISTED B}Wvl AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions and entered into contract with Warren and Purtell, Inc.
(G.W.0. 721) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions
of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the
following:
42nd Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue S to its ,
intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue T, known and designated as
Unit Number 1429.
36th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Louisville
Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of .Memphis Avenue, knoYm
and designated as Unit Number 1432.
22nd Place from its intersection with the West Property Line of Memphis Avenue
to its intersection with the West Property Line of Nashville Avenue, known and
designated as Unit Number 1434.
40th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue U to its
intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue W, known and designated as
part of Unit Number 1435.
Joliet Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 23rd Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 24th Street, known and
designated ad Unit Number 1443.
Memphis Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 32nd Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 33rd Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 1445.
37th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Elgin Avenue to
its intersection with the West Property Line of Flint Avenue, known and designated
as Unit Number 1456.
36th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Flint Avenue to
its intersection with the East Property Line of Hartford Avenue, known and
designated as Unit Number 1463.
21st Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Knoxville
Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Louisville Avenue,
known and designated as Unit Number 1471.
Nashville Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 31st Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 32nd Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 1482.
37th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Gary Avenue to
its intersection with the West Gutter Line of Hartford Avenue, known and
designated as Unit Number 1483.

f 35th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Joliet Avenut to
its intersection with the West Property Line of Knoxville, known and designated
as Unit Nunber 1484.
f AIM WHE?EAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementioned
streets and avenues, have been inspected and found to have been constructed in
accordance with tens of said contract (CAVO 721).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets and
avenues be, and the same are hereby accepted.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of streets and avenues
listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in
the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said
improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied, and the City
Engineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasing money held in escrow to be
paid the contractor for improvements where abutting property was not assessed.

This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
