HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 010853C - Quit Claim - Section 7 Block B - 01_08_1953 'T } �F t� R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the owners of the property abutting the traces of land described in the body of this Resolution have requested the City of Lubbock to execute a Quitclaim Deed to said tract of land in order to remove any cloud from their title thereto; and WHEREAS, said tract of land. has heretofore constituted a part of the Old Slaton Highway which is being relocated through another location and is not needed by the public for any public purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COV. USSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT, the Mayor be authorized, and is hereby directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed to the following described property situated in the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Seven (7), Block 8, Lubbock County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 574..59 feet East and 65,25 feet North of the Southwest Corner of tho Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Seven (7), Block B, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction with the curve of the North right-of--way line of the Old Slaton Highway right-of- way to a point in the East line of Avenue G, whiqh point is ..�, 55.4 feet North of the North right-of-way line of 34th Street as same is described in the Field Notes recorded in Volume 486, page 607, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South along and with the said East line of Avenue G, a distance of 55.4 feet to a point in the said North right-pf-way Une of 34th Street; THENCE East along and with the said North right-of-way line a distance of 224.68 feet to the: PLACE OF BEGINNING. The consideration for said Quitclaim Deed to be Ten and N0/100 ($10.00) Dollars, and shall be executed in favor of those people owning an interest in the property abutting said tract of land to the North and East thereof. On motion of Commissioner Carpenter , seconded by Davis Commissioner , the foregoing Resolution was passed on first reading this 1.8th day of January , 1953, by the following vote: Commissioners voting "YEA": Morris, Carpenter, Davis, Thomas and Mayor Commissioners voting "NAY": None Tripp �.
