RESOLUTIM
14HIMEASs numerous requests have been received from property owners
to widen minor residential streets, and
WHEREAS, the widening of such minor residential streets would not be
of particular value to the City's traffic system} being primarily desired
by the property owners to provide themselves with more street parking
�. space.
WHEREAS, funds for street widening and street paving are limited and
every effort must be made to utilize these funds to construct facilities to
serve as many residents of the City as possible; NOT THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMPASSION OF THE CITY CF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City will not participate in the cost of the widening of
paved minor residential streets, other than furnishing of engineering
services..
On motion ,of Commissioner hlo:^ris seconded by
Commissioner a�' Davis the foregoing Resolution was approved
and passed on this . 11th day of December 1952, by the following
vote:
Commissioners voting "YEA" Norris, Carpenter, Davis , Thomas
and hayor Tripp
Commissioners voting "NAY" None
