HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 011052E - Split Indiana Ave Paving Improvement Costs With Texas Tech College - 01_10_1952 f ADS V RESOLUTION RESOLUTION REDUCING THE AMOUNT ASSESSED AGAINST THE PROPERTY OF TEXAS TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGE ABUTTING THE WEST LINE OF INDIANA AVENUE FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF BATES STREET TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF BAYLOR STREET FOR PAVING IRPROVEMENTS ON THIS PORTION OF INDIANA AVENUE AND INCREASING THE CITYtS SHARE OF SUCH IMPROVEMENTS BY AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO SAID REDUCTION. WHEREAS, The City Commission has heretofore provided and caused the abutting property to be assessed for paving improvements on Indiana Avenue from the North Property Line of Bates Street to the South Property Line of Baylor Street, known as paving unit number 1057 and the said -improvements have been constructed by the Contractor, J. R. Fanning, under General Work Order Number 557, and the same have been inspected and approved and accepted by the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, and, WHEREAS, the assessment thus levied against the Texas Technological Property which abuts the West Line of said Indiana Avenue was made at a front foot rate and it has been agreed to assess said property at a side foot rate, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COI01ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK', TEXAS, That the City Engineer be and he is hereby directed to reduce the amount of the assessment on the said Texas Technological College Property on the said paving unit number 1057 from $876.17 to $584.12 and to increase the Cityts share on said paving unit from $385.16 to $677.21. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
