Simpson Trucking Co.- Signal Light Damage - 12_13_1951 � a Y� RES'OLUTION i/ WHEREAS , on the 15th day of November, 1951, a truck driven by C. W. Willis and owned by C. J. Simpson Trucking Company of Dallas, Texas, in turning from Broadway onto College Avenue in the city of Lubbock, Texas, struck the five (5)- section post signal light on the southwest corner of said intersection and damaged the said signal light, and, W HER EAS , the City of Lubbock submitted a claim to the C. J. Simpson Trucking Company in the amount of Eighty-Three Dollars ($83), and, WHEREAS, the insurance carrier has submitted to the City of Lubbock a claim draft with a formal release attached thereto for execution by the City of Lubbock, relieving C. J. Simpson and C. W. Willis from any claims, controversies, demands, actions or causes of action resulting from the said accident, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Clarence K. Whiteside, Mayor of the City of Lubbock, BE and is hereby authorized to execute the said release for and in behalf of the City of Lubbock, and that the Auditor be and he is hereby authorized to endorse the claim draft. On motion of Commissioner Davis seconded by Commis- sioner Thomas , the foregoing Resolution was passed on this 13th clay ;f December , 1951, with the following Commissioners voting "Yea": .
