HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 112651B - Lien Release - Green Acres Development Co. - Lot 14, Block 5, Green Acres Add - 11_26_1951 1 I� TI RE50LU ON WHEREAS , heretofore on the 23d day of June, 1942, the Green Acres Development Company of Lubbock, Inc. executed a Mechanicts Lien in the amount of Two Hundred Four and 17/100 ($204. 17) Dollars, in favor of the City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of Lubbock County, Texas, to secure the cost of paving on that portion of 29th Street which abuts the following described lot or tract of land in Lubbock County, Texas, to-wit:' Cory Lot Fourteen (14), Block.Five (5), Green Acres Addition, f urn shed an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, City Em-ineer and said lien was filed in Volume 26, page 473, Mechanicts Lien Records of &, Lubbock County, Texas, to which reference is here made for a more particu- F-vin lar description, and, ')ept . 11-30-51 WHEREAS, said paving was not constructed under the mechanic's lien on that portion of 29th Street which abuts said Lot Fourteen (14), and, WHEREAS, by law the City Commission is authorized to release liens for paving when the .paving is not done, and, WHEREAS, the project was done after paving proceedings were duly had and an ordinance was passed levying an assessment for street improvements against the above described property, and, WHEREAS, it is now desired that the lien recorded in Volume 26, page 473, Mechanicts Lien Records of Lubbock County, Texas, be released, and the said lien should be released, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor BE and he is hereby authorized to execute for the City of Lubbock a Release in favor of Green Acres Development Company of Lubbock, Inc. against the hereinafter described lot or parcel of land lying and situated in Lubbock County, Texas, more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Lot Fourteen (14), Block Five (5)0 Green Acres Addition, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. On motion of Commissioner Davis seconded by Commis- sioner Morris the foregoing Resolution was unanimously passed by affirmative vote of the City Commission this 26th day of November 1951.
