Owenss Jr. vs. Lubbock Independent School District, et al, '' numbered 15446 on the docket of the 99th District Court of. Lubbock County, Texas, judg- �°G,rlf l� ment was entered in favor of the City of Lubbock for taxes, penalties, interest and cost due the City of Lubbock for years delinquent on said properties prior e to filing of said suit, and, WHEREAS, an appeal was taken from said judgment and Writ of Error was finally denied by the Supreme Court of Texas, and mandate was duly returned and filed in the 99th District Court of Lubbock County, Texas, on the 3d day of March, 1951, and, WHEREAS, Marcus O. Owens, Jr. desires to pay that portion of said judgment which established a lien as against the hereinafter described property and desires a release thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor, uponpaynent of the sum of $108. 86 to the City Tax Col- lector be authorized and is hereby directed to execute a Release and discharge rt 'om the aforesaid judgment lien on the following described land, to-wit: Tract 1: Being a part of Lot Fifteen (15), Block Fourteen (14), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Lot Fifteen (15); THENCE West a distance of 125 feet to the Southwest corner of said lot; THENCE North a distance of twenty-six feet (261) to the Northwest corner of said lot; THENCE East a distance of 104. 61 feet to a point in the North line of said lot; THENCE in a Southeasterly direction 33. 04 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Tract 2: Being a part of Lot Sixteen (16), Block Fourteen (14), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the South line cf said Lot Sixteen (16) a distance of 20. 39 feet West of the Southeast corner of said lot; THENCE West a distance of 104.61 feet to the Southwest corner of said lot; THENCE North a distance of twenty-six feet (261) to the Northwest corner of said lot; THENCE East a dis- tance of 84. 21 feet to a point in the North line of said lot; THENCE �--- in a Southeasterly direction a distance of 33. 04 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Tract 3. Being a part of Lot Seventeen (17), Block Fourteen (14), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the South line of said Lot Seventeen (17), said point being 40. 79 feet West of the Southeast corner of said lot; THENCE West a distance of 84. 21 feet to the Southwest corner of said lot; THENCE North a distance of twenty-six feet (261) to the Northwest corner of said lot; THENCE East 63. 82 feet to a point in the North line of said lot; THENCE in a Southeasterly direction a distance of 33. 04 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Tract 4: Being all of Lots Twelve (12), Thirteen (13), Fourteen (14) in Block Fourteen (14), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. Tract 5. Being all of Lot Nine (9) in Block Twenty-Seven (27), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. Tract 6. Being all of Lots Eleven (11), Twelve (12), and Thirteen (13) in Block 110, Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. Tract 7. Being all of Lot Nineteen (19) in Block Ninety-Three (93), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. ' Tract 8. Being all of Lot Ten (10), Block Twenty-Nine (29), Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. The aforesaid judgment lien shall remain in full force and effect, however, on the balance of said land involved in aforesaid cause.
