HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 092851C - Paving Improvements - Warren & Purtell, Inc. - Several Units, GWO 614 - 09_28_1951 q� � Cq Zee i C RESOLUTION RESOLUTION ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AND/OR AVENUES AS LISTED BELOW AND ORDERING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENC% OF ASSESS— MENTS LEVIED. WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock- heretofore passed various street improvement ordinances and resolutions, and entered into contract with Warren and Purtell, Inc. (GWO 614) for the making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets and/or avenues in said City including among others the following: Itasca Street$om its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Flint Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1257. Harvard Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Indiana Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1258. Erskine Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue to its intersection with the East Property Line of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1262. Cornell Street from its intersection with a line 279 feet West of the West Property Line of Lot 8, Block 1}2 T. J. Wages Subdivision to its intersection with the East Property Line of Gary Avenue (South) known and designated as Unit Number 1054—A. Colgate Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Detroit Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Indiana Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1242. lst Place from its intersection with the West Property Line of Elgin Avenue to its intersection with the-West Property Line of Detroit Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1273. lst Place from its intersection with the West Property Line of Indiana Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1250. Amherst Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Gary Avenue to its intersection with the West Property Line of Hartford Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1255. 2nd Street from its intersection with the 'Jest Property Line 'of Avenue U to its intersection with the East Property Line of Uvalde Avenue, known and designated a Unit Number 1169. • i 2nd Street from its intersection with the .West Property Line of Temple Avenue to i its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue U. known and designated as Unit Number 1170 i I i i rr 1 Oq 1 co 2nd Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue S to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue T known and designated as Unit Number 1171. 2nd Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue T to its intersection with the East Property Line of Temple Avenue, known and designated as Unit Number 1197. 2nd Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Clovis Road to its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue S. known and designated as Unit Number 1172. Avenue T from its intersection with the South Property Line of 2nd Street to its intersection with the North Property Line of 3rd Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1178. AND WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementio ed streets and avenues, have been completed and have been inspected and found to have boon constructed in accordance with terms of said contract. (GWO 614). THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.. TEXAS: I. That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets an avenues be, and the same are hereby, accepted. II. That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of streets and avenues listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance with law and in the manner provided in said contract, and the proceedings with reference to said improvements and assessments where such assessments were levied, and the City Engineer ;is hereby directed to write a letter releasing money held in escrow for improvements where abutting property was not assessed.
