RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the City Commission on the 12th day of July 1951, authorized the
purchase of 27.78 acres of land along the Yellowhouse Canyon from the Lubbock
Cotton Oil Company to be used as a park for colored people, and,
WHEUAS, it has been determined that Field Notes decribing the 27.78 acres
of land are in error, since they are inclusive of area in excess of 27.78
acres, THEREFORE.
e,' y = <_ � BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C0104ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
U- �'ti�� THAT, the minutes of the City Commission in its regular meeting on July
12, 1951 be corrected to indicate the following field Notes descirb_ing by
metes and bounds the abovementioned 27.78 acres: '—
BEGINNING at a point in the East line of Survey 5, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas,
1114.4 feet South of the Northeast corner of said Survey 5, Block B;
THENCE West a distance of 2062.90 feet;
THENCE North 390461 West a distance of 490.10 feet;
THENCE South 88015t Vest a distance of 76.20 feet to a point in the Northeasterly
line of the P. & S. F. R.R. property;
THENCE North 390461 West a distance of 78.0 feet;
THENCE North 340421 East a distance of 377.40 feet;
THENCE North 29023' West a distance of 356.5 feet to a point in the South
R.O.W. line of proposed highway;
THENCE North 880021 East along the said South R.O.W. line a distance of 288.5 feet
THENCE North 750541 East along the said South R.O.W. line a distance of 110.87 fee
THENCE South 290111 East a distance of 554.02 feet;
THENCE South 510291 East a distance of 360.00 feet;
THENCE South 800561 East a distance of 610.00 feet;
THENCE North 77009120n East a distance of 934.67'feet to a point in the East line
of Survey 5, Block B;
THENCE South along the East line of Survey 5, Block B, a distance of 494.36 feet
to the point of beginning and containing 27.78 Acres.
On motion of Commissioner_ Thomas , seconded by
Commissioner Norris , the foregoing Resolution was unani-
mously passed by an affirmative vote of the City Commission this 18th day
of September , 1951.
