RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the inhabitants of several counties and incorporated towns
and cities on the High Plains of Texas will vote on September 29 to determine
whether the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District No. 1 shall
be effectuated, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock is located within the limits of this
proposed District No. 1, and;
WHEREAS, it is believed that the present rapid rate of depleting the
underground water supply in this area is detrimental and hazardous to the
stability and progress of this area, and;

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT, the City Commission of the City of ,Lubbock actively engage in,
and use every possible influence toward the formation of the High Plains
