WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock heretofore passed various street improvement
ordinances and resolutions, and entered into contract with J. R. fanning for the
making and construction of street improvements on portions of numerous streets,
avenues, and/or alleys-in said city including among others the following:
Cornell Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Elgin Avenue
to its intersection with the East Property Line of Gary Avenue, : nownz and
designated as Unit Number 920-A.
Boston Avenue from its intersection with the North Property Line of Dartmouth
Street to its intersection with the South Property Line of Duke Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 968.
Emory Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Burleson and
Osborn Addition to its intersection with the East Property Line of Detroit Avenue,
known and designated as Unit Number 1006.

llemphis Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 19th Street
to its intersection with the North Property Line of 20th Street, known and
designated as Unit Number 1071.
Memphis Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 20th Street
to its intersection with the South Property Line of 21st Street, knotty and
designated as Unit Number 1073.
Memphis Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of 21st Street
to its intersection with the South Property Line of 22nd Street, known and
designated as part of Unit Number 1074.

North-South Alley in Block 23 of Original Town of City of Lubbock., Texas,
from 5th Street to 6th Street, between Texas Avenue and Avenue J, _known and
designated as Unit Plumber A-58.
AVID WHEREAS, the improvements upon the said portions of the abovementione
streets and avenues and/or alleys, have been completed and have been inspected
and found to have been constructed in accordance with terms of said contract.
(GWO 557).
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE, CITY OF LUBBOCK, TE_`�'M:
I.
That the improvements on said portions of the abovementioned streets,
avenues and/or alleys be, and the same are hereby accepted.
II.
That the Mayor and City Secretary be, and they are hereby instructed to
execute and deliver certificates in evidence of the assessments levied against
the parcels of property abutting upon the said portion of the streets, avenues
and/or alleys listed above and against the owners of such property in accordance
with law and in the manner provided in said contract and the proceedings with
reference to said ;improvements and assessments where such assessments were
levied, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to write a letter releasing
money held in escrow to be paid the contractor for improvements where the
�^ abutting property was not assessed.
III.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
