RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Lubbock did, by resolution and
permit dated August 10, 1950, grant the United States Air Force certain joint use
privileges at the Lubbock Municipal Airport , enumerated A through F in the afore-
said resolution, and enumerated 1 through 9 in the aforesaid permit, and,
SMREAS, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 9, of the aforesaid
permit the City Commission of the City .of Lubbock did define certain terms, and
promulgated the rates and charges provided. for in paragraph 9 of the aforesaid
permit by resolution dated August 10, 195c, and,
V=REAS, paragraph E of the aforesaid resolution states 'The direct, deferred
and amortized costs of operating and maintaining the; landing area shall be ,reviewed°
semi-annually, adjusted accordingly and a new per-pound rate,:developed. The new
per-pound rate developed shall be approved by the City Commission of the City of
Lubbock, and shall take full force and effect as of the date of approval; "NOW,
THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1: THAT:
(A) The Air Forces shall be charged for all load imposed in excess
of the '(10) per centum of the total load, for any calendar month, at the rate of
$0.07615 per thousand pounds, and for the surpose of preparing invoice of charges,
.-' it is hereby determined that:
T-28 Type aircraft shall be rated at 7,000 lbs. _gross weight
B-25, Type aircraft shall be rated at 25,000 lbs, gross weight
T-6 Type aircraft shall be rated at 5300 lbs. gross weight .
C-47 Type aircraft shall be rated at 25,000 lbs. gross weight
Civilian aircraft shall be rated as follows:
DC-3 Type at 25,000 lbs.
DC-4 Type at 63,000 lbs.
Itinerant civilian aircraft shall be averaged and -rated at 5,000 lbs. Local
Civilian aircraft shall be averaged and rated at 2,000 lbs.
(B) The Lubbock Municipal Airport Control Tower Traffic Records
shall be used as the basis of determining the number and type of civilian aircraft
movements.
(0) The United States Air Force shall porvide a control officer,
during periods of their, operations, and shall provide the Airport Manager erith a
daily extract of their operations. This extract s-hall include the m=ber and type
of all United States Air Force movements.
(D) The total number of movements shall be multiplied by the gross
weight of the aircraft, using the gros!- i-eights "tlereinabove set forth. After
determination of the total gross; load in pounds imposed upon the airport for any ,
given period, the Air Forces shall be granted ten (10) per centu7� of the total
gross load imposed during any calendar month, and their charge shall be compounded
at the rate of $0.07615 per 1,000 lbs. , for all load in excess of ten (10) per
cent-urn of the total dross load during that period.

(F) Reese Air Force Base :rill be exempt from the foregoing
charge for use during aircraft mechF.nica.l emergencies.
Upon motion of Commissioner Morris, seconded by Commissioner Davis, the
foregoing Resolution was approved by unr:nimous vote of the City Commission, of
the City of Lubbock, this 12th day of July, 1951.
