RESOLUTION

WHEREAS , on April'19t 1951, City Vehicle No. 3045, which was
assigned to the Department of Public Works in the Sanitation Section, was
involved in a collision at the intersection of 17th Street and Avenue A, and,
WHEREAS, damage was done to the said vehicle as a result of the
said accident, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock submitted a claim to the driver of
the other vehicle, to-wit: Jesse Step Brown, in the amount of Fifty and No/100
($50. 00) Dollars for damages to the said City vehicle, and,
WHEREAS, a check in the amount of Fifty and No/100 ($50,00) Dollars
has been presented to the City of Lubbock in payment of said claim by the
insurance carrief of the said Jesse Step Brown, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY.COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT upon acceptance by the City of Lubbock, Lubbock.County,
Texas, of the payment in the amount of Fifty and No/100 ($50. 00) Dollars,
payable to the City of Lubbock, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a release in favor of Jesse Step Brown for damages to the City Vehicle
No. 3045, which was involved in an accident with the said Jesse Step Brown
on April 19, 1951, at the intersection of 17th Street and Avenue A.
