TprTI);�3EAS, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has haretofor®
ordered that portions of'College Avenue and North College Avenue be improved
by grading, installing concrete curb and gutter and paving with calicho bass
and quadruple asphalt surface together with incidentals and appurtenances,
and arrangements therefore have been made and entered into by the City of
Lu'-ibock, Texas with Kerr and Middleton, Contractors, and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has caused the
City Engineer to prepare and film estimates of the cost of such improvements
and estimates of the amounts per front foot to be assessed against abutting
property and the owners thereof, and such estimates have been prepared and
examined;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIMSSIOTT OF TI-D CITY OF
LUBBOCY, T'MW

That such estimates be, and they are hereby adopted and approved.

NOTICE

PORTIONS Or COLLEGE AVENUE AND NORTH COLLEGE AVENUE.
The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heratoforc ordered that
the following portions of College Avenue and North Collage Avenue be approved
by raising, grading, filling and paving same, and by installing concretes curbs
and gutters and storm sewers and drains whore necessary on the portions of
College Avenue and North College Avenue: mentioned below:
It is horeby found and determined that. the cost of 1mprovcments of
such portions of College Avenue, and North College Avenue with the amount or
amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against
the abutting property and the owners thereof on the said portions of Colleges
Avonuo and North College Avenue are as follows, to-wit:
College Avenue from its intersection with the North Property Line of I+th Street
to its intersection with the South Edge of ties of Pecos & North Texas Railroad,
known and dessignatod as Unit Number 1277, the estimated cost of ;improvements is
$240623.11; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against the
abutting property and owners thereof for curb is 0.55; the estimated amount per
front foot to be assessed against the: abutting property and owners thereof for
improvements exclusive of curb is $5.95, for front abutting property.
College Avenue and North College Avenue from its intersection with the North
Edge of tiers of Pecos & North Texas Railroad to its intersection with the
South Property Line of Auburn Street, known and designated as Unit Number 1278,
tho estimated cost of improvements is $232658.71; the estimated amount per front
foot to be assessed against the abutting property and owners thereof for curb
is $05; the estimated amount par front foot to be assessed against the abutting
property and owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb is �5.95, for
front abutting property.
North College Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of
Auburn Street, to its intersection with the South Property Line; of Cornell
Street, imown and designated as Unit Number 1279, the estimated cost of improve-
ments is $242 521.68; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed
against the abutting property and owncrS thereof for curb is �.55; the estimated
amount par front foot to be assessed against the abutting property and owners
thereof for improvements exclusive of curb is $5.95, for front abutting property.
North College Avenue from its intersection with the South Property Line of
Cornell Street, to its intersection with the Existing Pavement on Clovis Road,
known and designated as Unit Number 1280, the estimated cost of improvements is
�17t639.24; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against the
abutting property and owners thereof for curb is $.55; the estimated amount per
front foot to be assessed against the abutting property and owners thereof for
�., improvements exclusive of curb is ^95.95, for front abutting property.

And arrangement for the making and construction of such improvements
with pavement of quadruple course asphalt surface treatment (invortod penetra—
tion typo) and a six (6) inch compacted caliche base has been made and
entered into by the City of Lubbock, Doxas, and rolls or statements showing
the proposed amounts to be assessed against the abutting property and the
owners thereof have boon filed with the City, such rolls or statemonts showing
other matters and things and have bean approved and the City Commission of
said City has fixed a time and place for a hearing to the owners of property
abutting on said portions of College Avenue and North College Avenue, and to
all others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the
respective parcels of abutting land and the owners thereof for improvements
in the Unit upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the amounts of
benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of improvements in the
Unit upon which the particular property abuts, tho regularity of the proceedings
with reference to such improvements, the apportionment of the cost of such
improvements, and other matters and things will be determined and after such
hearings assessments will by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing
will be hold by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas,
in regular Commission meeting room in the City Hall in the City of Lubbock,
Texas, on Mm 28 day of May, 1951 at. llifWamoiclock. The rolls or statements
showing the proposed amounts of such assessments are on file in the office of
the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock and open to inspection of any
interested parties at any time and of all said matters and things all such
owners of property, as well as any and others in anywiso affected or
interested, will take dues notice.
By order of the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, this 15th day
of May, 1951.
No notice other than hereinabove provided for shall be necessary
but publication .of such notice shall be duo and sufficient notice to any and
all persons, firms, corporations and other parties.

That a hearing be held by and before the Governing Body of the City of
Lubbock, Texas, to all parsons owning or claiming any property abutting any
part or portion of College Avenue and North College Avenue describod in Section
II of this resolution, as well as all owning or claiming any interest in such
property. Such hearing shall be given and held on the first floor of the
City Hall of Lubbock, Texas, the 2$th day of May, 1951, at 11 00:'am. .otclock
and the City Secretary is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place
of such hearing, and of other matters and facts in accordance with the terms
and provisions of an act passed at the first called session of tho 40th
Legislaturc of the State of Texas and known as Chapter. 106 of the acts of said
Legislature which has boon adopted as an amendment to and made a part of the
Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas. Such notice shall be made by advertise-
ment inserted at least three (3) times in a newspaper published in the City of
Lubbock, Texas; the first ,publieation shall be made at least tan (10) days
before the said hearing. Said notice shall comply with and bo in accordance
with tho terms and provisions of this resolution and said Act.
