RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock an Agreement with Jetbridge Technology, Inc.,
attached hereto, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the
minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in
detail.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
AGREEMENT
This Agreement is hereby made between the CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, a
home rule municipality of Lubbock County, Texas, hereinafter called" City," and
JETBRIDGE TECHNOLOGY, INC., P. O. Box 1288, Kennedale, Texas 76060,
hereinafter called "Jetbridge," according to the following terms, conditions and
provisions, to wit:
I.
Jetbridge will inspect the passenger loading bridges at the Lubbock International
Airport, hereinafter called "Airport," and provide all tools, labor, equipment and
lubricants necessary to service such bridges and perform the preventive maintenance
checks described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as
part of this Agreement.
II.
Jetbridge will perform the preventive maintenance checks listed in Exhibit A to
Airport Gate Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 9 not less than semi-annually and to Airport Gate Nos. 4, 5,
6, 7 and 8 not less than quarterly during the term of this Agreement.
The term of this Agreement shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning on the
9th day of February , 1995, and ending on the 9th day of
February ,1996.
IV.
In consideration of Jetbridge's inspection of and performance of preventive
maintenance checks to the Airport's passenger loading bridges in accordance with this
Agreement, City will pay Jetbridge the sum of ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($11,200.00) calculated as follows:
$400 per bridge for Gate Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 9
for ea. semi-annual inspection = $3,200.00
$400 per bridge for Gate Nos. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8
for ea. quarterly inspection $8,000.00
$11,200.00
Payments shall be made to Jetbridge quarterly upon receipt by the Director of
Aviation of the City of a proper invoice and completed checklists for each loading bridge
inspected and serviced. The City shall not be liable to Jetbridge under this Agreement for
any amount of money other than the sum specifically stated in this section unless both
parties amend or modify this Agreement.
V.
All work under this Agreement shall be performed between the hours of 8 a.m.
and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and the City shall provide Jetbridge with unobstructed
access to the loading bridges to be inspected and serviced, provided the Director of
Aviation of the City has reasonable notice as to when Jetbridge desires to inspect and
service the Airport's loading bridges.
Jetbridge shall not be responsible to the City under this Agreement for any of the
following: (1) overtime and/or shiftwork; (2) painting, lights, parts and corrective
maintenance (other than as described in Exhibit A); and (3) bonds, taxes and special
permits. However, all travel costs, living expenses and per diem expenses of Jetbridge
employees shall be the sole responsibility of Jetbridge.
VI.
Jetbridge shall maintain during the term of this Agreement comprehensive general
liability insurance in an amount not less than FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ($5,000,000)
and shall provide the Director of Aviation of the City with a certificate of insurance or
other evidence of such coverage before inspecting or servicing any of the Airport's
loading bridges.
VII.
Jetbridge agrees to indemnify and hold the City, its officers, employees and
agents harmless from any and all claims for damages or injuries proximally caused by
any act or omission of Jetbridge, its officers, employees and agents in the performance of
this Agreement.
VIII.
This Agreement may not be assigned by Jetbridge, in whole or in part, without
written permission of the Director of Aviation of the City.

IX.
In conducting inspections and performing preventive maintenance checks under
this Agreement, Jetbridge shall observe and comply with all federal, state and local laws,
ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the Airport and shall not enter into any
portion of the Airport to which access is restricted unless authorized to do so by the
Director of Aviation of the City.

Either party may terminate this Agreement for default or failure by the
nonterminating party to perform any of the covenants or conditions contained herein,
provided such nonterminating party has been given written notice of the default or failure
and a reasonable opportunity to cure the same.

1. Canopy - Check condition of canopy and padding
that contacts aircraft fuselage.
2. Cab Weather Door - Check condition and operation.
3. Aircraft Interface Spacer - Check condition of the
rubber spacer.
4. Side Curtains - Check condition and operation of the
side curtains. Adjust tension as required.

5. Automatic Leveler - Check the automatic leveler assembly for
wear, missing parts and security of mounting. Manually actuate
the system and check for proper directional response and
proper function of the timing circuit.
6. Lights - Check the operation of all lights; cab, floor and
clearance.
7. Warning Devices - Check the operation of all warning devices;
travel warning bell, beacon and auto -leveler warning horn.
8. Tires - Check tires for cuts, excessive wear, ect. Remove bolts,
nails, ect., from treads. Inflate to 175 p.s.i.

9. Wheel Carriage Electrical Wiring - Check the wiring
connections and junction box for damage and security
of mounting.
10. Interior - Check carpeting for raised edges, tears and
other passenger hazards. Clear all drains and gutters of
trash or other obstructions.
11. Drive Motor Brakes - Check for disc wear and adjust the
following brakes as outlined in the Manufacturer's Manual:
A. Vertical Drive
B. Horizontal Drive
C. Cab Rotation Drive
D. Canopy Drive
12. Gear boxes - Check the lubricant level of all gear boxes and
add proper lubricant as required.

13. Drive Column - Check condition of alignment
pads, ball screw brakes and torque tube bolts.
14. Drive Chains and Sprockets - Check all drive
chains and sprockets for wear and misalignment.
15. Hinge Pins - Visually inspect the "A" tunnel to
rotunda hinge pins.
16. Bridge Underside - Check underside for signs of
damage to the tunnels, catering stairs, wheel
carriage, cab, ect.

proper tension. Check pulleys for damage or misalignment.

23. Tunnel Rollers - Check tunnel and cab rollers, tracks
and stops. Check tunnel tracking. Adjust rollers as required.
24. Wheel Sprocket Bolts - Check wheel sprocket bolts
for wear and damage.
25. Ball Screw Safety Brake - Check for disc wear as outlined
in the Manufacturer's Manual.
26. Ball Screws - Operate the bridge up and down and listen
for any sound that could indicate galling or roughness in
the screw or ball deterioration.
