HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 012551D - Amendment To The Determination Of Side And Front Paving Rates - 01_25_1951 RE;SOLUTION WHEREAS THE RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE DETEMNATION OF SIDE AND FRONT PAVING RATES DATED AUGUST 24, 1950 FAILED TO STATE THAT THE SIDE SATE FOR PAVING ONLY APPLIED TO PROPERTY USED FOR ONE AND TWO FAMLY HOUSING; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY =01ISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK THAT the resolution concerning the determination of side and front paving rates dated August' 24, 1950, be amended to read as follows: That from this date forward all property located in residential zones and used for one and two family housing purposes and the owners thereof shall be assessed for paving at the front rate of ninety percent (90%) of the paving cost �., for aving along the short side of the lot and at the side rate of sixty percent 460,E of the paving cost for paving along the long side of the lot, except in cases where there is more than one house on the lot the front rate of ninety percent (90%) of the paving cost shall be assessed against the property and owners thereof along the,long side of the lot for the amount of property equal in length to the length of all houses facing the long side of the lot and for the length of the short side of the lot. The remaining length of the long side of the lot and the owners thereof shall be assessed at the side rate of sixty percent (60%) of the paving vost. Churches located in residential zones shall be assessed in the same manner as property used for housing purposes. Business property located in residential j�--y zones and the owners thereof shall be assessed the front rate of ninety percent (90%) of the paving.cost for paving along all sidesof the lot. Assessments against property in residential zones not divided into lots and the owners thereof will be determined by the City Engineer at either the front rate of ninety percent (90%) of the pasting cost or the side rate of sixty percent (60%) of the paving cost. All property and owners thereof in business and industrial zones shall be assessed for paving at the rate of ninety percent (90%) of the paving cost. That this resolution shall in no way affect assessments against property 11 and the owners thereof for paving made prior to its passage. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
