Acree of Lubbock, Texas desires to install a burglar alarm system in the City of Lubbock Which will necessitate the use of public streets and alleys and which system is designed to facilitate the apprehension of burglary in the corp- orate limits, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCKt 1. That the said A. D. Acres of 1917 Avenue "Q", Lubbock, Texas is hereby granted a license to use the streets and alleys in the City of Lubbock for the pur- pose of erecting, maintaining and operating a lawful burglar alarm system, subject to the following conditions: (a) This license is granted for a period of one year and may be at any time revoked by the governing body upon written notice to the Licensee at the address herein stated. (b) ,Licensee agrees that he will consistently maintain the burglar alarm system in good order and that upon receipt of any burglar alarm through such system he will concurrently transmit the alarm to the Chief of Police of the City of Lubbock or any person designated by him to receive such transmission. (c) Failure on the part of the Licensee, his agents or employees to transmit any such alarm, as required in numbered paragraph B shall automatically revoke this license. (d) ,Licensee agrees to submit himself to the Chief of Police, and re- quire all his employees, before entering upon the business of con- ducting a burglar alarm system for finger printing and other means of identification as the Chief of Police may require. (a) Licensee covenants that he will save the City harmless against loss or damage and claims therefor, of every nature growing out of the existence of the burglar alarm system and will file with the City Secretary a bond or insurance policy so conditionedg for $1000.00. (f) Licensee agrees that he will kee ace ately books of account cor- rectly showing all sums of money ore burglar alarm system and that he Will pay to the City of Lubbock on the lot day of July and January of each year this license is in effect 4% of the gross re- ceipts from the operation. This license is not assignable and licensee agrees that he will not enter into any understanding, combination, pool or agreement express or implied with any person, firm or corporation whereby the burglar alarm system or any part thereof shall ever be used by .any person, firm or corporation for any purpose EXCEPT and unless express- ly authorized by the governing body of the City of Lubbock by resolution duly enter- ed upon the minutes. This license is granted subject to present and future Charter provisions, all State laws, ordinances and resolutions of the•City of Lubbock, the violation of any of which including the provisions of this license shall constitute cause for revoking this license, Licensee agrees that in the event this license is revoked he will immediately cause all equipment to be removed from the streets and alleys and should the system or equipment be abandoned by Licensee for any reason, the same may be removed by the Chief of Police under direction of the governing body in any manner deemed by them expedient and in the public interest. ,-This license is subject to annual renewal.
