RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING ENGINEERIS ESTIMATE RMLS AND/CR STATEMENTS
FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF STREETS, AVENUES AND/CIR ALLEYS, FIXING TINE AMID
PLACE OF HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the hereinbelow mention-
ed portions of streets, avenues and/or alleys be improved by raising, grading and
filling and paving, and by installing concrete curbs and gutters and storm sewers
and drains where necessary on Units Nos. 500, 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508
509, 510, 511, 512, 513, 514, 515, 516, 517, 518, 519, 5209 523, 524, 5259 526, 527,
5289 529, 530, 531, 532, 533, 534, as designated below, and,
WHEREAS., arrangements for the making and construction of said improvements have
been made and entered into by the City of Lubbock as Contractor, and the City Engin-
eer has made and prepared and filed with the City his estimates, rolls, or state-
ments showing the amounts to be assessed against parcels of abutting property and
the owners thereof, and showing other matters and things, and said statements have
been examined and corrections made where necessary, THEREFM,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXASt
That said estimates, rolls or statements be and the same are hereby adopted and
approved.
That a hearing be given and held by and before the City Commission of Lubbock to
the owners of property abutting upon said streets and alleys to be improved, and to
all others in may wise interested or affected, concerning said improvements, the
amounts of the proposed assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof
concerning the apportionment of the coat of said improvements and the description
of property, names of owners, regularity of proceedings, a4d concerning all other
matters and things in connection with which anyone is entitled to be heard under the
Law and Charter with amendments in force in said City, and the proceedings of the
City with reference to said improvements.
The portions of streets and alleys to be improved and in connection with which
such rolls or statements are adopted being set forth in the form of notice herein
below prescribed.
Said hearing shall be held in the regular Commission meeting room of the City
Hall in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the 2 ri day of Na , 1946
at 2230 P Y. and may be continued from time to time until the purposes thereof
are in the opinion of the Commission fully accomplished and such hearing shall in
all respects be conducted in accordance with said charter with amendments, law and
proceedings.
The City Secretary is directed to give notice of the time, place and purpose of
such hearing by causing notice in substantially the form hereinbelow prescribed to
be published at least three times prior to the date of said hearing in a newspaper
published in and of general circulation in the City of Lubbock, Texas, the first of
which publications shall be at least ten days before the date for such hearing, and
the form of which notice shall be substantially as follow3t

The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the follow-
ing portions of streets, avenues and/or alleys in said City of Lubbock, Texas, be
improved by raising grading and filling and paving and by installing concrete curbs
and gutters and storm sewers and drains where necessary on streets designated belows
Avenue R from its intersection with the South Property line of 17th Street to its
intersection with the North Property Line of 18th Street, known and designated as
Unit No. 500.
Avenue R from its intersection with the South Property Line of 18tk Street to its
intersection with the North Property Line of 19th Street, known and designated as
Unit No. 501.
18th Street from its intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue H to its
intersection with the Nest Property Line of Avenue G, known and designated as Unit
No. 502.
9th Street from its intersection with the West Property Line of Avenue J to its
intersection with the East Property Line of Avenue S, known and designated as Unit

And arrangement for the making and construction of such improvements withpave-
ment of quadruple course asphalt surface treatment (Inverted Penetration Type) on
a Six (6) inch compacted caliche base has been made and entered into the City of
Lubbock, Texas, and rolls or stat6ments showing the proposed amounts to be assessed
against abutting property and the owners thereof have been filed with the City, such
rolls or statements showing other matters and things, and have been approved, and
the City Commission of said City has fixed a time and place for hearing to the own-
ers of property abutting upon said portions of streets, avenues and/or alleys, and
to all others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the re-
spective parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements in the
units upon which the particular parcels of property abut, the amounts of benefits to
the respective parcels of property by means of the improvements in the unit upon
which the particular property abuts, the regularity of the proceedings with refer-
ence to such improvements, the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and
other matters and things will be determined, and after such hearing assessments will
ley ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be had and held by and before
the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas, in the regular Commission meeting
room in the City Hall, in the City of Lubbock, Texas, on the day of
, 1946s at o'clock. The rolls or statements
showing the proposed amounts of much assessments are on file in the office of the
City Secretary and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City
of Lubbock and open to inspection of any interested parties at arW time, and of all
said matters and things all such owners of property, as well as a1w and others in
any wise affected or interested, will take due notice.

No notice other than that hereinabove provided for shall be necessary, but publi-
cation of such notice shall be due and sufficient notice to any and all persons,
firms, corporations and other parties.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
