HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 092844A - License - Panhandle & Santa Fe Railway Company - Sewer Line, Mile Post 1 - 09_28_1944 RESOLUTION OR'0245"A BE IT KNOWN that on this the 28th day of Sept. , 1944, at a regular meeting of the �'ity Commission of the City of Lubbock, !axes, there came on to be consider- ed the matter of the execution of a license between the said City of Lubbock, Texas, and Panhandle and 6anta Fe Railway Company relating to a sewer line on II and across Aailway company's property from Mile Post 1 plus 573 feet, whereupon the following procdedings were had: It was moved, seconded and unanimously voted, that O.W. nibble, Mayor, be authorized and empowered to execute on behalf of the City of Lubbock, Texas, such license, copy of which is hereto attached, and the same be recorded in the Minutes of the City Commission at the foot of this resolution. p i Motion by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Childress, carried unanimously, the following bonds were approved and ordered filed. {u G.H. grown Public Works Bond G.H. Brown Gas Fitter'a Bond w Motion by Commissioner Price, seconded by Iommissioner Dickey, carried unanimously, tc appoint Robert H. Bean as a member of the Airport Board, also to establish terms of members, as follows: R.F. Hinchey, term August 11, 1944 - August 11, 1945 A.F. Holt, term August 11, 1944 - August 11, 1946 Robert H. Bean, term august 11, 1944 - August 11, 1947 t Motion by Commissioner Dickey, seconded by Commissioner Childress, carried unanimously, to charge off accounts of the Retail Merchants Asso- ciation for rental accumulated to date, and to discontinue any charge for rent to this organizatinn until conditions warrant a change in this arrangement. Motion by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Childress, carried unanimously, to authorize payment of expense of City automobile and group of people to attend State wide meeting in Austin, `texas, October 2, 1944, for purpose of effecting an active organization to promote the protection, development, conservation and utilization of the State's water resources for all beneficial purposes. Motion by Commissioner trice, seconded by Commissloner Jones, carried unanimously, that City Manager, M.H. Smith, Jr. , attend City Managers' Conference in Chicago, October 12 - thru October 17, 1944, at the expense of the City of Lubbock. Motion by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Childress, the following Resolution carried unanimously.
