On Criminal Investigation Expenses - 10_08_1942 2A BE IT RESOLVED by the City �'ommission of the City of Lubbock, texas, that Don Reeder, Chief of Police be and he is hereby authorized, to expend not to exceed the sum of Fifty ($50.00)Dollars per month to defer expenses of criminal investigations. Motion by Commissioner Newsom, seconded by Commissioner J.0. Jones, carried unanimously, to accept the bid of Fechheimer Bros. Co. and make purchase of police uniforms, as follows: 60 Pair Trousers, 2 Pair Breeches 62 Shirts 31 Caps Total Cost $1,419.45 Motion by Commissioner J.O. Jones, seconded by Commissioner Newsom, carried unanimously, to appropriate 41500.00 to-the County-City Welfare Association Fund as the City's portion of the Charity Fund. Motion by Commissioner J.O. Jones, seconded by Commissioner Garland Newsom, carried unanimously, the following salary changes were authorized, effective Sept. 15, 1942. H.H. Woulard, Foreman, Water Dept., from $145.80 per Mo. to $165 per Month G.G. Hunter, Dairy Inspector, from $200.00 per Mo. to $225.00 per Month• T.C. "ichardson, Supt. Sewage D�posal Plant, from $120.00 r Mo. to $140.00 per Month. C.A. McSpadden - Operator and Laboratory Worker at Sewage Disposal Plant, from $120.00 per Mo. to 0130.00 per Mqhth. Motion by Commissioner Newsom, seconded by Commissioner J.O. Jones, carried unanimously, the following bonds were approved and ordered filed. M.F. Smith,Jr. Oity Manager R.B. Luker City Auditor Solon Lea Police Recorder Motion by Commissioner J.O. J nes, seconded by Commissioner Newsom, carried unanimously, to refund $3.00 $o G. Hildreth on fine assessed for being drunk, account error in allowance for time spent in jail. This being Poiioe Departmsnt Receipt # 35389 of date Sept. 20, 1942. Motion by Commissioner Newsom, seconded by Commissioner J.O. Jones, carried unanimously to allow credit of $20.00 each on final paving assessment, Lot 3, lock 1, Liff Sanders Addition, owned by Irma Clay Vaughq, and Lot 4, Block 1, Liff Sanders Addition, owned by Mrs. Daisye Clay on account of information given to these parties by Geo. W. Foster, the 4ty's Representative, at the, time the Paving Liens were signed. Notations on the back of the Paving Liens indicate that Mr. Foster had told these property owners that the final cost of the paving in front of this property would be $129.54 less 25% which the City was allowing as a credit for W.P.A. assistance and $20.00 as a credit with the curb left off the paving. There was notation on the paving lien that the curb was to be left off. No further business coming up for consideration, the Ui ty Uommiss ion adjourned.
