Be it remembered that at a regular meeting of the City Commis-
sion of the City of Lubbock, Texas, held in the City Hall in said
City on the 24th day of September, 1936, a quorum being present, it
was duly moved by Commissioner �. ��A and seconded
by Commissioner _.. and duly carried that Ross
Edwards, Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized, empowered, and dir-
ected to execute a release to Glenn Howard and wife, Hazel Howard,
of a certain paving assessment passed by the City Commission on June
9th, 1936 and recorded in Vol. 198, page 340, Deed Records of Lub-
bock County, Texas insofar only as it covers and effects the Wiest
Half (Wj) of Lot One (1 ) in Block Two Hundred Eight (208), Original
Town of Lubbock, Texas.
And Whereas, said paving assessment assessed a lien against
the above described property to secure the payment of the sum of
$172.10 for paving to be cone on Seventeenth Street in front of
said property.
And whereas, said paving has not been laid on Seventeenth Street
as contemplated by the City and said assessment has created an ap-
parent lien against the above described property, Ross Edwards,
Mayor of the City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby fully authorized to
execute, acknowledge, and deliver a relea f the aforesaid pav-
ing lien assessment.
