City AtGrney RESOLUTION 1079 - 4/22/82 (Ord. 8293) QUITCLAIM DEED THE STATE OF TEXAS § KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS COUNTY OF LUBBOCK § THAT the CITY OF LUBBOCK, a Home Rule Municipality in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of ONE AND N0/100 ($1.00) DOLLARS and other good and valuable consideration to it in hand paid by Trinity Church of Lubbock, Inc., hereinafter called "GRANTEE" the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby by these presents ABANDON, DISCLAIM, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUITCLAIM unto the said GRANTEE, all its rights, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Lubbock, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: The east half of Elgin Avenue near the South Loop 289 and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the Northeast 14 of Section 12, Block E-2 said point bears South 0°03'48" West 1204.30 feet from the Northwest corner of said Northeast k of Section 12, Block E-2; THENCE East 30.00 feet to a point, said point being 20.00 feet South 0003'48" West of the Southwest corner of Lot 1295 Caprock Addition; THENCE South 0003'48" West along a line parallel to and 30.00 feet East of the West line of said Northeast 14 of Section 12, Block E-2 a distance of 455.36 feet to a point in the North Right -of -Way line of Loop 289; THENCE West along the North Right -of -Way line of Loop 289 a distance of 30.00 feet to a point, said point being the centerline of Elgin Avenue and the West line of the Northeast z of Section 12, Block E-2; THENCE North 0003'48" East along the centerline of Elgin Avenue and the West line of the Northeast 14 of Section 12, Block E-2 a distance of 455.35 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same premises together with all and singular the rights, privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said GRANTEE, its successors and assigns forever, so that neither the GRANTOR, CITY OF LUBBOCK, its successors or assigns, nor any persons claiming under it shall at any time hereinafter, have, claim or demand any right to the title to the aforesaid premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.
