RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING ENGINEER'S ROLLS OR STATER TS FOR PORTION'S OF TEXAS AVEM AND SUNDRY OTHER STREETS,AND AVENUES, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF. WHEREAS , the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the hereinbelow mentioned portions of streets be improved by raising, grading and filling same , and by paving and in- stalling concrete curbs and gutters , and otherwise , and by constructing storm sewers where provided in the plans and specifications; and, WHEREAS , contract for the making and construction of said improvements has been made and entered into with Pan- handle Construction Company, as Contractor, and the City Engineer has made and prepared and filed with the City his tolls or statements showing the amounts to be assessed against parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof, and showing other matters and things , and said statements have been examined and corrections made where necessary: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS: THAT, I. Said rolls or statements be and the same are hereby adopted and approved. II. That a hearing be given and held by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock to the owners of property abutting upon the said streets, avenues and highways to be improved, and to all others in anywise interested or affected, ` and to the owners of any railway or street railway using, occupying or crossing any such streets, avenues or highways , with their rails and tracks , and to all others in any wise interested or affeeted,d#oneerning said improvements , the amounts of the proposed assessments against abutting property and the owners thereof, concerning the apportionment of the cost of said improvements and the descriptions of property, names of owners , regularity of proceedings, and concerning all other matters and things in connection with which any one is entitled to be heard under the law and charter with amendments in force in said City, and iA*h-the proceedings of the City with reference to said improvements. The portions of streets so to be improved and in connec- tion with which such rolls or statements are adopted, being as set forth in the form of notice hereinbelow prescribed. III. To the owners of property abutting upon the herein- below mentioned portions of streets and avenues and to others affected, and to the owners of railways and street railways using, occupying or crossing same, with their rails or tracks: The Governing Body of the City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that the following portions of streets and avenues in said city of Lubbock, Texas , be improved by raising, grading and filling same, and installing concrete curbs and Batters, and paving, and otherwise, towit: TEXAS AVENUE (Formerly Avenue I) , from its inter- section with the North property lihe of 14th Street to its intersection with the North property line of 16th Street, known and designated as Unit or District No* 1. TEXAS AVENUE (Formerly Avenue I) , from its inter- section with the South property line of 16th Street to its intersection with the South property line of 19th Street , know and designated as Unit or District No. 2. AVENUE G. from its intersection with the North property line of loth street to its intersection with the center line of 8th Street , known and designat- ed as Unit or District No, 3, EIGHTH STREET from its intersection with the East property line of Avenue H. to its intersection with the center line of Avenue G. known and designated as Unit or District No. 4. NINETEENTH STREET, from its intersection with the West property line of Texas Avenue to its inter- section with the center line of .Avenue M, known and designated as Unit or District No, 5, NINETEENTH STREET , from its intersection with the center line of Avenue M. to its intersection with the East property line of Avenue Q, known and designat- ed as Unit or District No. 6. NINETEENTH STREET, from its intersection with the East property line of Avenue 0,, to its intersection with the East property line of College Avenue , known and designated as Unit or District No. 7. SIXTEENTH STREET, from its intersection with the West property line of Avenue 9. to and including the intersection thereof with Avenue X, known and designated as Unit or District No. 8. AVMM X, from its intersection with the South • line of the intersection of 16th Street from the East to its intersection with the North line of the intersection of 16th Street from the West , known and designated as Unit or District No. 9. SIXTEENTH STREET from and including the intersection thereof with Avenue X to its intersection with the East property line of College Avenue, known and designated as Unit or District No. 10. t OziOZIA AVENUE H, from the South line of the right- of-way, of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad to its intersection with the South property line of 4th Street , known and designated as Unit or District No. 116 AVEM H. from its intersection with the South property line of 4th Street , to its intersection with the Borth property line of First Street. , known and designated as Unit or District No. 12. 02wIOZIA and contract for the making and construction of such improvements with pavement of 2-1/2 inch Vertical Fibre Brick on 4 inch Concrete base has been made and entered into with Panhandle Construction Company, and rolls or statements show- ing the proposed amounts to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof and against railways and street railways for work between rails and tracks and two feet on each side thereof have been filed with the City, such rolls or statements showing other matters and things and have been approved, and the City Commission of said Laity has fixed a time and place for hearing to the owners of property abutting upon said portions of streets and avenues, to the owners of railways and street railways , and to others affected, at which hearing the amounts to be assessed against the res- pective parcels of abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements in the units upon which the particular parcels of property abut , the amounts of benefits to the respective parcels of property by means of the improvements in the unit upon which the particular property abuts, the amounts to be assessed against railways and street railways for work between rails and tracks and two feet on each side thereof, the regularity of the proceedings with reference to such improve- ments , the apportionment of the cost of such improvements, and other matters and things , will be determined, and after such hearing assessments will by ordinance be made and levied, and such hearing will be had and held by and before the City Commission of the City of Lubbock, Texas , in the regular Commission meeting room in the City Hall i the City of Lubbock, Texas , on the ? day of , 1927 , at o t clock, M,, --The rol s or s a ements showing the proposed amounts of such assessments are on file in the office of the City Secretary, and copies thereof are in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Lubbock, and open to the inspection of any interested parties at any time , and of all said matters and things all such owners of property, and/or of sueh railways and street railways , as well as any and all others in anywise affected or interested will take due notice.
