RESOLUTION
�C'V WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock finds it necessary and
in the public interest to purchase certain hereinafter described property for
municipal public purposes, to -wit: a fire station; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby determines that the owners of the fee
simple title to said property should be offered the amount hereinafter set
forth for the purchase thereof by the City, NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That the acquisition of the fee simple title to the following
described land is hereby authorized:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for a 1.2795 acre tract of land located in
Section 2, Block J-S, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of said Section 2, Block J-S which
bears S. 89° 56' 20" W., 297.68 feet from the Northeast corner of Section
2, Block J-S, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE S. 890 56' 20" W. along the North line of said Section 2, Block J-
S, a distance of 259.40 feet;
THENCE South a distance of 214.72 feet;
THENCE East a distance of 259.40 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 215.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Said tract being the proposed Tract "A", Shadowhills, an Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and one half of the proposed
North Fulton Avenue and one half of the proposed Erskine Street adjacent
thereto, as shown on plat of Lots 1-178 and Tracts A & B, Shadowhills,
dated January 22, 1980.
SECTION 2. That the owners of said fee simple title including Northwest
Developers, Inc., a corporation, be offered the sum of $16,000.00 for the pur-
chase of said land.
Passed by the City Council this 22nd day of May 1980.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF LUBBOCK §
THAT Northwest Developers, Inc., a corporation acting through its under-
signed President, hereunto duly authorized, herein called "Grantor", for and in
consideration of the sum of SIXTEEN THOUSAND AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($16,000.00),
and other good and valuable consideration to Grantor in hand paid by the City
of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation, in cash, the receipt and suffi-
ciency of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, and for the payment of
which no right or lien, expressed or implied is retained:
Have GRANTED, SOLD and CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, SELL and
CONVEY unto the said City of Lubbock, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of Lub-
bock County, Texas, all that certain tract and parcel of land lying and being
situated in.Lubbock County, Texas, as follows:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for a 1.2795 acre tract of land located
in Section 2, Block J-S, Lubbock County, Texas, being futher described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line:.of said Section 2, Block J-S
which bears S. 89° 56' 20" W., 297.68 feet from the Northeast corner of
Section 2, Block J-S, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE S. 890 56' 20" W., along the North line of said Section 2, Block
J-S, a distance of 259.40 feet;
THENCE South a distance of 214.72 feet;
THENCE East a distance of 259.40 feet;
THENCE North a distance of 215.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Said tract being the proposed Tract "A", Shadowhills, an Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and on half of the proposed
North Fulton AVenue and on half of the proposed Erskine Street adjacent
thereto, as shown on plat of Lots 1-178 and Tracts A & B, Shadowhills,
dated January 22, 1980.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and
singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging to the said
City of Lubbock, its seccessors and assigns, forever and the said Grantor does
hereby bind itself, its successors and assigns to WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND
all and singular the said premises unto the said City of Lubbock, its successors
and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the
same, or any part thereof.
