City Coaaission met in recessed regularmeeting pursuant to recess from May
16th, 1924. with the following gaesent:
Nryor, F. R. Friend, Commissioners, J. 0. Jones . Geo. C. Wolffarth and N.S.
Posey. R. A. Sowder, City Attorney and M. S. Ruby, City Ugr.
Mayor stated that the object of the meeting was to open bids for the proposed
paving and storm sewers.
By motion made by W. Posey and seconded by Mr. Wolffarth the following
Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.
LUBBOCZ FORM NO. 4A. <=
RESOLUTION ACCEPTED BID.
wHS.REAS. City of Lubbock has heretofore ordered that a portion of Broad-
way Street and sundry other streets and places be improved by raising, grading ,
filling, paving, and constructing storm sewers and draining system and other-
wise im1woving, and plans and specifications therefor were adopted and bids
advertised for. and bid of Panhandle Construction Company duly received, and
said bid has been duly considered:
THBRE"N, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, ^_'BRAS:

That the bid of Panhandle Construction Company filed with the City on the
17 day of May, 19E4. be, and the same is found and determined to be the lowest
bid and the best bid and most advantageous bid to the City and the owners of
property abutting the proposed improvements. and such bid is accepted and
contract awarded to said Company.
That the City Attorney be, and he is hereby directed to prepare neces-
sary ordinances and proceedings in connection therewith.

That this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
Passed and approved this 17 day of May, 1924.

The Mayor asked a City Commission be present at the neat regular meet-
ing night so tha t+es of the previous meetings might be read.
There being no further business the meetii,g adjourned.

City Commission met in regular session with the f ollowing present:
Mayor Friend. Commissioners. J. 0. Jones, A. S. Posey and Geo. C. Wolffarth and
X. S. Ruby. City Manager.
Minutes of the meeting on April 23rd. 1993 to November loth, 1923. were read
and approved by unanimous vote.
Mr. glett and Dar. Overton were before the Commission in regard to Lubbock
Sanitarium buying north part of alley in Bl►t. 130, O.T. By motion made by
Mr. Posey and seconded by Mr. Wolffarth. Ur. Jones and Mr. Wolffarth were
appointed as committee to set value on the above described alley.
By Aion made by Mr. Jones and seconded by Mr. Jones, W. Ruby was in-
structed to buy a Ford for water department by unanimous vote.
