Said Amendment is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Jary6tt Atkinson, City Manager APPROVED July 26, 2022 P/"� , , I - T AYNE, OR City Attorney ccdocs/RES.Amend #2 to Agrmt- Lobbying Consulting Services June 3, 2022 Resolution No. 2022-RO316 SECOND AMENDMENT To LOBBYING CONSULTING SERvicEs AGREEMENT This Second Amendment to Lobbying Consulting Services Agreement ("Amendment") is entered into on this, the 2&L day of .n,iy . 2022 by and between the City of Lubbock, Texas, a Texas municipal corporation ("City") and Blackridge of Austin, Texas ("Blackridge"), collectively the "Parties". WHEREAS, the Parties entered into a Lobbying Consulting Services Agreement (the "Agreement") dated August 23, 2018 (Resolution No. 2018-110272) setting forth certain terms and conditions respecting the engagement of Blackridge for lobbying consulting services on behalf of City; and WHEREAS, the Parties by amendment on July 14, 2020 (Resolution No. 2020-110225) modified the term of the Agreement from two (2) to four (4) years, with all other provisions of the Agreement remaining unchanged; and WHEREAS, the Parties now desire to amend the Agreement to increase the term from four (4) years to six (6) years. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereto agree to amend, and do amend, the Agreement as follows: The first sentence of Article 1, Section 1.1 shall read as follows: "The contract shall be for a term of six years beginning upon formal approval." The Parties further agree that all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect for all purposes.
