HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2018-R0252 - Dedication Deed - Slaton Substation Tract "A" - 08/09/2018Resolution No. 2018-RO252 Item No. 6.11 August 9, 2018 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to execute for an on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a Dedication Deed, and related documents, concerning a 4.6351 acre tract of land out of Section 5, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, known as the Slaton Substation Tract "A". Said Dedication Deed is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Tens 808.473.2200 PLAT LIMITS DESCRIPTION OF TRACT A, SLATON SUBSTATION AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS Plat limits description of Slaton Substation, Tract A, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being all of that certain tract of land conveyed to the City of Lubbock, described in a special warranty deed recorded in County Clerk's File Number 2017041814 of the Official Public Records of Lubbock County, Texas, located in Section 5, Block E, Lubbock County, Texas, said plat limits being further described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for the northeast corner of said Section 5, same being the northeast corner of said City of Lubbock tract for the northeast corner of these plat limits; (1) THENCE South 01 degrees 49 minutes 29 seconds West, along the east line of said Section 5, a distance of 533.86 feet to a 1/2-inch iron rod with a plastic cap marked "H.R. & ASSOC." found at the southeast corner of said City of Lubbock tract for the southeast comer of these plat limits, whence a 1/2-inch iron rod found in the east line of said Section 5 bears South 01 degrees 49 minutes 29 seconds West a distance of 786.08 feet; (2) THENCE North 88 degrees 13 minutes 48 seconds West a distance of 377.98 feet to a 1/2-inch iron rod with a plastic cap marked "H.R. & ASSOC." found at the southwest corner of said City of Lubbock tract for the southwest comer of these plat limits, said southwest corner having coordinates of NORTHING: 7,256,764.79 and EASTING: 951,814.46, Texas Coordinate System, North Central Zone 4202, North American Datum of 1983; (3) THENCE North Of degrees 45 minutes 57 seconds East a distance of 533.72 feet t0 "MAG" nail with a washer found in the north line of said Section 5, at the northwest comer of said City of Lubbock tract for the northwest corner of these plat limits, said northwest corner having coordinates of NORTHING: 7,257,298.12 and EASTING: 951,830.90, Texas Coordinate System, North Central Zone 4202, North American Datum of 1983, whence a 1/2-Inch iron rod found in the north line of said Section 5 bears North 88 degrees 15 minutes 04 seconds West a distance of 1671.48 feet (4) THENCE South 88 degrees 15 minutes 04 seconds East, along the north line of said Section 5, a distance of 378.52 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
