HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2019-R0049 - 9% Housing Tax Credit - Inverness Place Apts - 02/25/2019Resolution No. 2019-R0049 Item No. 7.16 February 25, 2019 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, KRS Inverness has proposed a development for affordable rental housing to be named Inverness Place Apartments and will be located at 5900 Erskine Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79416; and WHEREAS, KRS Inverness has advised the City of Lubbock that it intends to submit an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for Inverness Place Apartments; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council hereby confirms and supports the proposed development of Inverness Place Apartments at 5900 Erskine Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79416 by KRS Inverness according to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs project application number TDHCA 19151; and THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby directs City staff to provide a one-time permit fee waiver not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) to be applied to an application for a permit by KRS Inverness if it is awarded the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for the proposed development of Inverness Place Apartments; and THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to certify for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, these resolutions to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
