HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2019-R0048 - 9% Housing Tax Credit - Milwaukee Villas - 02/25/2019Resolution No. 2019-R0048 Item No. 7.15 February 25, 2019 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Marquee has proposed a development for affordable rental housing to be named Milwaukee Villas and will be located East of 4501 Milwaukee Avenue, Lubbock, Texas, 79401; and WHEREAS, Marquee has advised the City of Lubbock that it intends to submit an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for Milwaukee Villas; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council hereby confirms and supports the proposed development of Milwaukee Villas located East of 4501 Milwaukee Avenue, Lubbock, Texas, 79401 by Marquee according to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs project application number TDHCA 19147; and THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby directs City staff to provide a one-time permit fee waiver not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) to be applied to an application for a permit by Marquee if it is awarded the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for the proposed development of the Milwaukee Villas; and THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to certify for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, these resolutions to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
