HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2019-R0046 - 9% Housing Tax Credit - 1302 Main - 02/25/2019Resolution No. 2019-R0046 Item No. 7.13 February 25, 2019 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Strategic TX Properites has proposed a development for affordable rental housing to be named 1302 Main and will be located at 1302 Main Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79401; and WHEREAS, Strategic TX Properites has advised the City of Lubbock that it intends to submit an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for 1302 Main; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council hereby confirms and supports the proposed development of 1302 Main at 1302 Main Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79401 by Strategic TX Properties according to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs project application number TDHCA 19155; and THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby directs City staff to provide a one-time permit fee waiver not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) to be applied to an application for a permit by Strategic TX Properties if it is awarded the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs 2019 Competitive 9% Housing Tax Credits for the proposed development of 1302 Main; and THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized and directed to certify for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, these resolutions to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
