AFTER RENDERED; AND DECLARING EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAIN~D BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That from and after passage of this Or-
dinance the City o:f Lubbock shall collect, and every con-
sumer of water ahall pay. tor water furnished by the City
to the consumer the following rates:

That all bills shall be due and payable monthly, and
within 15 days from date rendered.
A minimum rate for water char~ed consumers on meters
shall be $2.00 per month, regardless of the amount of water
used.
A disoount of 10% will be allowed on all bills for
water paid within 10 days fran the date same are rendered.
SECTION 2: The fact that it appears that the City is
proaably furnishing water at a loss and that it ls necessary
that the City receive such compensation as will sufficiently
remunerate it for pumping and furnishing water; and that all
consumers are entitled to water at reasonable and equitable
rates and the fact that they are entitled to protection
against fire, o'reates an emergency requiring that this Ordi-
nance take effect from and after its :passage and it is so
ordered.
Passed by a unanimous vote of the City Commission, all
members of the Commiasio n being present I at its regular ses-
sion, this 8th day of March, A. D., 1928.
