CHURCH 'RESOLUTION
The Arnett -Benson Baptist Church met ,in
regular conference on July 4, 1951. A
motion was made and seconded instructing
the Trustees to enter into contract
purchasing the triangular property located
at N. Flint, Harvard ,street, and Shallowater
Drive.

This sales contract is this day made and entered into by and between

C. B. Bray, hereinafter called Seller, and The Arnett -Benson Baptist Church,

a corporation, acting by and through its trustees Earl E. Langley, Bill

Dever, and 0. B. Johns, hereinafter called Buyer.

Seller, for and in consideration of the sum of $6,500;00 to be paid

by the Buyer, as hereinafter set out, does hereby sell'and agree to con-
vey all of Block No. Three (3) in the Marlin Park Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, subject to the following terms and condi-
tions:
Seller shall execute a warranty deed to the uyer covering said prop-

erty, retaining therein a vendor's lientD secure 'the payment of one note
in the sum of $6,500.00, together with interest at the rate of 5% per .

annum from date until paid, amortized over a`ten year period in equal
monthly payments.

Buyer shall execute said note payable to C. B. Bray and said `note and

warranty deed shall be delivered to W. D.jBenson, 7r., escrow agent for

the parties,

Buyer and Seller shall present to the City Commission of the City of
Lubbock application for the closing of the alleys in said block, the
Selma being the owner of the entire block. The purpose of closing said
alleys being that
y g the Buyer desires to erect an said property a church
building and to use the'°pntire block for the building and church facili-
ties; and that said property would not be suitable therefor with said

alleys open.
IV.
It is agreed and understood that the Buyer shall, within thirty days
from the date of, the passing of the ordinance )ry the City Commission clos-
