OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE .THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 761 : CHANGE THE SOUTH 171 FEET OF THE
NORTH 221 FEET OF TRACTS lio, Ill and 112 OF THE MARKOWITZ SUB-
DIVISION OF BLOCK 88, ROBERTS AND MC WHORTER.ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TE~, FROM A 11C-4'1 TO AN 11M-l"
ZONING DISTRICT. (SAID PROPERTY BEING LOCATED IN THE 2100 BLOCK
OF ERSKINE STREET); SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: THAT TH
OWNERS AND/OR DEVELOPERS SHALL.MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND SEGUR
A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN TEN MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL
PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953,

and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche more than fifteen I
(15) days ·prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Commission on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Commission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said
hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public
interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map,
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and 1
!this ~rdinance having been introduced in final written form prior to first reading
hereof;' NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION I. THAT Ordinance NO. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and '
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 761
Change the South 171 feet of the North 2Z1 feet of Tracts
110, Ill and 112 of the Markowitz Subdivision of Block 88,
Roberts and McWhorter Addition to the City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, from a ''C-4" to an 11 M-111 zoning
district. {Said property being located in the 2100 Block of
Erskine Street). Subject to the Following Condition:
That the owner and/or developers shall make application
for and secure a building permit within ten months after
the date of final passage of the Ordinance.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc
said lots, tracts, and .. parcels of land described in ,Section 1, hereof shall be
hanged to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accor-
ance herewith.
