HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2022-O0027 - Budget Amendment #15 - 03/08/2022First Reading March 8, 2022 Item No. 7.3 ORDINANCE NO. 2022-00027 Second Reading March 22, 2022 Item No. 7.1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2021-22 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE GRANT FUND TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDING FROM HUMANITIES TEXAS AND THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2021-22 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2021-22 (Budget Amendment #15) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Accept and appropriate $7,200 to Buddy Holly Center, from Humanities Texas, for consulting services on improvement to technological infrastructure. II. Accept and appropriate $5,000 to Environmental Health, from The National Environmental Health Association, for compliance of Self -Assessment Standard 9, a risk based analysis of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Federal Drug Administration's five risk factors that contribute to food -borne illnesses' and the Comprehensive Strategic Improvement Plan, a plan to identify the five risk factors and development of procedures and education to develop a path to compliance with all standards. III. Accept and appropriate $6,300 to Environmental Health, from The National Environmental Health Association, for training and staff development. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
