HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2011-O0020 - AMENDMENT TO FY 2010-11 BUDGET 3 - 02/24/2011First Reading February 24, 2011 Item No. 5.1 ORDINANCE NO. 2011-00020 Second Reading March 2, 2011 Item No. 5.1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2010-11 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE GRANT FUND TO ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE MILK AND DIARY GRANT; ACCEPT AND APPROPRIATE FROM THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE FY 2011 SECTION 5309 DISCRETIONARY GRANT; AND AMEND CITIBUS GRANT FUND NO. 88001, FY 2008-09 SECTION 5307 GRANT. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2010-11 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2010-11 (Budget Amendment #6) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Accept and appropriate $13,800 from the Department of State Health Services for the Milk and Dairy Grant. II. Accept and appropriate $750,000 from the Federal Transit Administration FY 2011 Section 5309 Discretionary Grant # TX-04- 0069. III. Amend Citibus Grant Fund No. 88001, FY 2008-09 Section 5307 Federal Grant No. TX-90-X876-00, by increasing the appropriation by $93,643, from $1,409,238 to $1,502,881. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
