AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2011-12 BUDGET FOR
MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE GRANT FUND TO ACCEPT AND
APPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (TDHCA) FOR THE
COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT (CSBG), GRANT NO. 82047;
RESPECTING THE ABANDONED MOTOR VEHICLE FUND, FUND NO. 138;
RESPECTING THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS,
FUND NO. 139 AND FUND NO. 142; AND RESPECTING THE DEPARTMENT
OF JUSTICE ASSET SHARING FUND, FUND NO. 86004.
WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of
Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council
shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2011-12
Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves
changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2011-12 (Budget Amendment #17) for
municipal purposes, as follows:
I. Accept and appropriate an additional $95,258 from the TDHCA for
the CSBG, for a total appropriation of $285,776.
II. Appropriate an additional $100,000 for the Abandoned Motor Vehicle
Fund, for a total appropriation of $674,720.
III. Appropriate an additional $836,603 for the Criminal Investigation
Special Revenue Funds, for a total appropriation of $1,168,959.
IV. Appropriate an additional $15,827 for the Department of Justice Asset
Sharing Fund, for a total appropriation of $190,612.
SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock
Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County
Clerk of Lubbock as required by law.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason. the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
