AN ORDINANCE, E%TENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY CF LUBBOCK$
WHEREAS, a majority of the inhabitants, qualified to vote for members of the
Legislature, of the territory hereinafter described and which adjoins the City
Limits of the City of Lubbock, have duly petitioned the Mayor and City Commission
and voted in favor of becoming a part of the City of Lubbock, and,
WHEREAS.. three of said persons so qualified have made affidavit as required by
Article 974, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, which petition and affidavit constitute
the vote of the said persons and have been duly filed with the Mayor who has duly
certified the same to the City Commission for appropriate action, and,
WHOMs said territory adjoins the existing City Limits and boundaries of the
City of Lubbock and does not exceed in width one-half mile, THEEWARE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LBBBOCKt
The existing and present City Limits and boundary of the City of Lubbock is here-
by extended so as to annex and include within the corporate limits of the City of
Lubbock, the following described property&
Beginning at a point in the present city limits at the Northwest corner
of Block 1, of Westlawn Addition; THENCE West along the South property
line of 19th Street and along a line parallel to and 30 feet South of
the section line to a point in the projection of the center line of
Taylor Avenue; THENCE South along the center line of Taylor Avenue to
a point in the projection of the center line of 21st Street; THENCE
East along the center line of 21st Street to a point is the present
city limits of the City of Lubbock, Texas; it being the intent and
purpose of this description to include substantially all of Blocks 1
and 2 of Fr,Wncea_Pl

We, the undersigned persons are inhabitants of T1i�e it Eh�e territory
and tract of land herein described, are qualified to votr�r, mem`�ers of the
Legislature of Texas and hereby vote in favor of said tract of land, which said
tract adjoins the limits of the City of Lubbock, becoming a part of the City of
Lubbock for all purposes, said tract of land being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present city limits at the North-
west corner of Block 1, of Westlawn Addition; THENCE West a-
long the South property line of 19th Street and along a line
parlel to and 30 feet South of the section line to a point
in the projection of the center line of Taylor Avenue; THME
k South along the center line of Taylor Avenue to a point in the
