WOREAS, the City Commission has been urged by petition of the owner of the -tract hereinafter described to annex and include said area within the corpor- ate limits of the City of Lubbock, and the City Commission finds that said area is in line of development, growth and expansion being experienced by the City, that annexation of said area to the City of Lubbock will be in the public interest, and the City Commission is authorized to annex said area which is adjacent to and abuts the' corporate limits of the City of Lubbock, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C018ESSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK2 SECTION 1. That the following described area abutting the corporate limits of tho City of Lubbock described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at a point 330 feet North and 330 feet West of the South- east Corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1A) of Section Ti7o (2)0 Block A. Lubbock County, Texas, which point is in the present City limit line; THENCE West 660 feat along the City limit line of the City of Lubbock; THEN CE North 660 feet; THENCE East 660 feet; THENCE South 660 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING* BE, and the same is, hereby annexed to and included within the corporate limits of the City of Lubbock.
